The bomb squad has been called out to the area of Pacific and Kern streets.The call out was in east Bakersfield after a PVC pipe that was capped on both ends was seen. The pipe was examined around 2:30 Monday afternoon, then removed in the bomb truck to a safe location. Bakersfield police expect to further examine it Tuesday to determine if it poses any danger.
