The man killed by police after a high-speed pursuit has been identified as 47-year-old Rogelio Landa of Buttonwillow. He died Tuesday night in south Bakersfield after police identified him and 30-year-old Andrew Crotwell as suspects in two armed robberies earlier in the day, and police say 44-year-old Anita Carvajal was also arrested on Hudson Drive after the police shooting. Crotwell and Carvajal face numerous charges including murder because they could be held responsible for the death of Landa because he died while they allegedly were in the commission of a felony. One weapon was found in the crashed Jeep, but it turned out to be an air soft gun. Another pistol is being searched for in the area. Crotwell is also wanted for an unrelated shotgun shooting of a person recently, with no other details offered.
