A Buttonwillow CHP officer is credited with a big drug bust that began with a traffic stop. The officer pulled over a speeding GMC Yukon on southbound I-5 near 7th Standard Road October 13th and met with an “overwhelming odor” of marijuana. A search turned up more than 100 pounds of pot, much of which was packaged for sale. Two men were arrested, one from Georgia and the other from Sacramento.
