A Bakersfield man has died in a car accident near Kernville. The CHP says 32-year-old Jordan Haverstock drifted off northbound Sierra Highway Saturday morning, then slid down a rocky slope near Cannel Creek Road.

Investigators are trying to figure out what caused him to lose control.
