Cal State Bakersfield is building a new plaza at the Icardo Center, thanks to a donation from the family of the late mayor Harvey Hall, who died last year after a sudden brain illness.His widow, Lavonne, was on the hardwood court Saturday night for the announcement, saying her husband was passionate about the school and they have many good memories there. The Harvey L. Hall Family Plaza will be ready when CSUB moves to the Big West Conference in 2020.
