Kern County Search and Rescue teams were able to help a 42-year-old man and his nine-year-old son get home safely after they got trapped in the snow near Piute Mountain. The dad was able to find cellphone service and called for help around 5:00 Thursday night, but then they got lost. They were found about six hours later and did not need medical treatment.
