The man whose car was found at the bottom of the Kern River Canyon was 47-year-old Phillip Turner of Frazier Park. Reports from the scene say he was ejected during the accident from Hwy 178 about two miles from Democrat Road, the vehicle was discovered early Sunday but it’s not known when the accident actually happened.
