MORE GREEN TO HELP GRAPES

The California Table Grape Commission is getting another $2.85-million from the federal government to give the industry a boost, which has been hit hard tariffs. President Kathleen Nave says exports to Asia were down 50-percent as of October and the final tally is still out. “It was a big hit, but this money that has been awarded will help.” China imposed a 53-percent tariff on numerous agricultural products in a trade war with the White House, the grape commission will use the money to open new markets.
