A tentative deal between the Bakersfield City School District and the teachers union has been reachedAccording to sources, the new, three-year pact has a two-percent pay raise, plus paid parental leave and more personal days. The Bakersfield Elementary Teachers Association and the school board must still sign off on the agreement. The pay raise is retroactive to last July. Some details are still being negotiated.
