All lanes of northbound 99 near Shafter had to be closed Wednesday night for two separate crashes, and DUI is suspected in the first one. The CHP confirms a Hyundai sedan rear-ended a semi around 11pm south of Lerdo Hwy. Some victims complained of pain, one person had minor injuries from the second crash. No names have been released.
