A drowning takes the life of a 1-year-old boy. Dainel Austin Gibson was found unresponsive in a Bakersfield swimming pool in the 900 Block of Vineland Road just before 6pm. He was rushed to Kern Medical and later pronounced dead. The coroner’s office says it was an accident.
