West High School was on “lockout” Wednesday morning while KCSO deputies searched for a suspect nearbySheriff’s officials say they were looking for a suspect for an assault with a deadly weapon and add KHSD independently decided to place itself on lockout, which simply means no one may enter of leave campus. School continued UN-interrupted. No one was injured. This happened sometime around 10am, with the suspect being caught about 3 miles from campus. The lockout was lifted a short-time later.
