UPDATE: The Kern Sheriff says the two-year-old boy kidnapped has been found safe.The KCSO says 37-year-old Eric Truman kidnapped 2-year-old Jace Pletcher from his home. He was last seen carrying the boy on the 100 block of Regal at 6:30 p.m.
Truman is related to the child’s father, and is not allowed to remove the child from the home.
Truman is a known transient, and KCSO has searched areas he has been known to frequent including abandoned homes and homeless encampments.
There is no evidence of Truman having access to a vehicle.
The child, Pletcher was last seen wearing a maroon shirt and dark pants. Truman is 6′, 170 lbs, bald with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey shirt with black pants.
KCSO requests anyone with surveillance to check their footage to see if they captured anyone matching this description.
