Bike Bakersfield plans to hand out more free headlights and taillights to cyclists in Arvin and Bakersfield.
The sixth installment of the group’s “Project Light Up the Night” initiative is scheduled to take place from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
A list of locations is below:
- Bike Bakersfield Kitchen: 1708 Chester Ave.
- East Bakersfield: Mount Vernon Avenue and Niles Street
- Oildale: Roberts Lane and Chester Lane
- South Bakersfield: 4th Street and P Street
- Arvin: 1241 Bear Mountain Blvd.
The group says it’s trying to improve the safety and visibility of area bicyclists.
