The High Speed Rail Authority has settled with a company aiming to put a sprawling mixed-use development at Coffee and Brimhall roads in Bakersfield.

The Bakersfield Californian reports the authority will consider an alternate route around the Bakersfield Commons. The developer now says it won’t challenge the rail project until a final route is selected.
