Supervisors have removed ordinance revisions quietly passed in January that let agricultural operations dump biosolids only after strict environmental review and county approval.

The repeal was approved unanimously Tuesday on the consent agenda. Los Angeles, which dumps its sewage sludge southwest of Bakersfield, claimed the amendments were illegal.
