Cal State Bakersfield’s softball team has scored a big donation.The money is coming from a local philanthropist. Shelly Carlin is giving the women’s sports program $170 thousand to build new dugouts at their field and fund a graduate assistant coach. Carlin was a star softball player at West High School and went on to become an executive at Motorola.
