The Cedar Fire is advancing into Tulare County and forcing evacuations of communities there. The fire has burned over 9,500 acres and has only five percent containment as Kern County Fire Captain Tyler Townsend says it’s running across Forest Service land and towards more mountain communities. Previous evacuation orders are still in effect in Alta Sierra, Shirley Meadows and Slick Rock although the fire has not burned any structures but it’s been growing rapidly.
