The bomb squad was called out to the Kern Regional Center on Sillect Avenue.There was a report of a suspicious package. The administrative center was evacuated before noon Tuesday and bomb-sniffing dogs went through the parking lot. After a few hours, it was determined the package was not a threat and police did not say what the package was but markings on it made it suspicious.
