The Kern County Raceway has a new general manager and he’s very familiar with local racing. Larry Collins takes over the job October 1st and he used to manage the Mesa Marin Raceway in Bakersfield until 2005 when it was turned into a housing development. Lately, Collins has been managing partner of a southwest stock car race series.
