Dignity Health is giving the nursing program at Cal State Bakersfield $450 thousand. The university says the three-year funding will help grow the Family Nurse Practitioner program which graduated fifteen students this past June. Dignity considers the donation an investment to help overcome a serious shortage of health care providers.
