The new Aera STEM Success Center is up and running at Bakersfield College.
The 3,000 square foot building gives science, technology, engineering and math students a centralized location on campus to get counseling and tutoring, and Dean Liz Rozell thinks the project will keep jobs in Kern County.
The ribbon cutting was Tuesday. The building cost $1.6 million with about half of that coming from Aera Energy.
