The woman charged with setting fire to a car on Calcutta Drive in south Bakersfield has pleaded not guilty to felony arson. Bail was set at $25,000 Tuesday for 20-year-old Sara Daniel, who was seen on surveillance video during last week’s incident.

Her mother, Tina Daniel, believes the mental health system has failed their family. Daniel says her daughter has no memory of the incident and she’s hopes the court will order a mental evaluation.
