An Arvin grower has been fined $10 thousand by the state for using illegal pesticides.The Department of Pesticide Regulation said it was used on their 43-acre vineyard. M Kooner Farms at Comanche Drive and El Camino Real was found to be using Dimenthoate when their grapes were tested at a wholesale store in Los Angeles in April. The insecticide is legal for other crops, but not grapes.
