A pioneering doctor who worked to find a cure for Valley Fever has passed at age 90. The Bakersfield Californian reports Dr. Tom Larwood passed Tuesday at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital.

Larwood is best known for his work alongside Dr. Hans Einstein that led to treatments for the respiratory disease. He was also a medical advisor to the Valley Fever Americas Foundation.
