Blue green algae contamination is keeping warnings in effect for Kissack and Paradise Coves.The warnings from Public Health remains around Lake Isabella and caution is still recommended for the Kern River. One person and an animal became sick after contact with water at Calloway Weir, which is at the Chester Avenue Bridge near downtown Bakersfield, but it’s uncertain if the algae caused the illness.
