CLEAN AIR MONEY COMING

Gov. Brown has approved spending $900 million collected from polluters to clean up the state’s air. Wednesday’s signing was in Fresno to show focus on the needs of the Central Valley as much of the money will go towards transit programs and clean vehicle incentives. Dairy farmers get $50 million to lower methane emissions. The Cap and Trade program is still being challenged in court as a tax which would make it illegal since it was not passed by the required margin in the state legislature.
