POT FARMER ADMITS GUILT

A man from Mexico has pleaded guilty to growing marijuana in the Sequoia National Forest.The man now faces up to ten years in prison. 42-year-old Juan Carlos Martinez was in federal court Wednesday admitting he grew more than 26 hundred pot plants last year near The Needles rock formation. Water had been diverted from a nearby spring that supports wildlife and flows into the Upper Kern River.
