Another small brush fire in Bear Valley Springs drew more than 40 firefighters from Kern County Fire. The Fawn Fire broke out around 4:20 Saturday afternoon near Fawn Way and Dear Trail Drive. The cause of the fire is being investigated.

Two previous fires in as many months prompted evacuations this summer in the area.
