DAIRY GROUPS REACT TO NEW CLIMATE LAW

Governor Brown has signed legislation to reduce so-called “super pollutants”. Senate Bill 1383 cuts methane emissions by 40% and black carbon gases by 50%, but Dave Clegern of the Air Resources Board says implementation will be a challenge for the dairy industry.

Dairy groups say government incentives will be required to meet the reduction goals by 2024.
