MORE VALLEY FEVER IN 2016

There’s a spike in the number of valley fever cases in Kern County this year. 890 patients have been confirmed in the first half of 2016, that’s about 150 per month and one-third higher than last year’s rate of infection. It’s unclear what’s causing the increase of the dirt-borne, fungal illness.
