It took more than an hour for traffic to start flowing near White Lane and Wible Road following a four-car crash involving a Bakersfield Police cruiser. The accident happened around 11:30 Friday morning when the cruiser and another car hit each other then crashed into two stopped cars.

Sergeant Gary Carruesco says they’re looking into who caused it, but alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors.

The officer was responding to an emergency at the time.
