The Community Action Partnership of Kern is teaming up with the Kern County Fair to feed the hungry. The annual Feed the Need food drive is Tuesday and you get into the fair free from 3:00 to 9:00 PM by bringing at least four cans of food to donate. The food drive is the largest of the year for CAPK but it takes fifty thousand pounds of food to meet the agency’s needs for one day. The food bank is asking for canned vegetables and fruits, but also ready-to-eat meals like pasta dishes or soups and stews.
