ALL’S WELL IN TEHACHAPI

A well that’s been shut down for a decade due to nitrate contamination has reopened in Tehachapi. The well was refurbished to help schools keep the grass green. A ribbon-cutting has been held at the Snyder Well Thursday after the state pitched in $650 thousand for new equipment and infrastructure. It’s producing inexpensive, non-potable water for Tehachapi schools and will save 70 to 75 of potable water for other uses each year.
