Another trained dog has been added to the Bakersfield Police force. Hero is a two-year-old German Shepherd and was donated by residents Jack and Carol Craig.

Hero is the second K-9 officer announced this week, and both animals came from Slovakia. They’re expected to be purchased by their BPD handlers and spend their careers with those officers.
