A pair of inmates have escaped from the Taft Correctional Institution’s minimum security satellite camp. 53-year-old Rene Fernandez Noriega and 45-year-old Jose Ruiz-Sanchez were missing around 11:00 AM Thursday after a head count at the facility which has no perimeter fence or stationed guards. Both have been serving sentences for meth charges and aren’t due for parole for at least another five years. If you see either, call 9-1-1.
