Sheriff’s deputies have detained three people suspected of running a butane honey oil lab in Oildale.

Deputies called in the bomb squad and Hazmat team after finding the operation Thursday morning during a child welfare check at a house on Highland Drive near McCray Street. Butane honey oil labs take THC from the marijuana plant.

The child deputies were checking on was not at the home.
