A candlelight vigil is being held at South High School for Coach Carter.

The school on Planz Road in Bakersfield hosts a memorial to the boys basketball coach who died in a car accident. Members of Brian Carter’s team will speak Friday night at the event which is being held from 6:30 to 7:00. The South High Choir will also perform. Carter died last Sunday morning on Calloway Drive in northwest Bakersfield.
