FOUR LOCAL ZIKA CASES

The State says there have been four people in Kern County confirmed to have contracted the Zika virus.The first was found in August and all four were infected while traveling outside the United States and no details are given about the victims. California Public Health says 374 people area currently infected with the Zika virus, all contracting it in foreign travel. The illness is a particular danger to pregnant women because it can cause microcephaly (small heads) in babies.
