The man who was struck and killed on Stockdale Highway near his stalled gardening truck has been identified as 66-year-old Jose Zaldua of Bakersfield. Police say Zaldua was standing in the street yesterday morning [mon] when a pickup truck swerved into him because of the slick roads.
