The head of the Kern County Library system is quitting to take a job in Washington state. Nancy Kerr has been the director for two years and informed the Board of Supervisors that she plans to leave in December. No replacement has been named. Kerr had previously expressed disappointment after voters did not pass Measure F in the June primary, and her department has struggled with budget cuts.
