A bill written by Bakersfield Congressman Kevin McCarthy to promote spaceports has been signed into law by President Obama. It allows the Federal Aviation Administration to put height limitations on buildings surrounding spaceports so as not to interfere with take-offs and landings. Spacecraft like those being developed in Mojave have very low trajectories.
