A Rosamond man has been sentenced to 30-years-to-life in prison for the beating death of his two-month-old daughter. Prosecutors say Nicholas Newbold had abused baby Jude multiple times before fatally hitting her on the head four years ago. He was also convicted of running a pot operation from his home at the time.

The girl’s mother, Juliana Linn, was previously sentenced to six years for child cruelty.
