A Bakersfield man has been convicted of a hate crime.The crime involved firing a shotgun while yelling racist slurs at a Latino man. 25-year-old Justin Wittington was found guilty Monday in federal court in Fresno. The victim was standing in his front yard in Oildale with his wife and son four years ago when the incident happened, Wittington will be sentenced in February.
