Kern County Probation is tightening the grip on those with felony or multiple drunk driving convictions.

The state is providing a grant for intense monitoring of offenders that includes more unannounced home searches and random alcohol and drug tests, and assuring probationers are attending court ordered DUI education and treatment programs.
