The Optimal Hospice Foundation is holding their Light Up A Life programs.The ceremonies are to help people who have lost loved ones get through the holiday season. Director Cherie Shoemake says they read the names of more than 350 people and lighted candles in their memory at Wednesday night’s event in south Bakersfield. Shoemake says many have made it a holiday tradition to attend as a way of keeping their lost loved ones part of their Christmas, Light Up A Life programs are being held Sunday in Lake Isabella and December 15th in Taft.
