The union for police and deputies are on board with the State DOJ investigation.The union representing Bakersfield police officers and Kern County deputies is welcoming the state investigation into possible civil right violations. The Kern Law Enforcement Association issued a statement Friday saying their members are dramatically understaffed as violent crime increases. KLEA welcomes the transparency the probe will bring and offer cooperation in the investigation.
