Highway 178 through the Kern River Canyon has been reopened.The road was closed by mudslides and large boulders. The road to Lake Isabella was closed throughout the day Friday and finally reopened around 6:00 PM. Anticipated heavy rains over the weekend has Caltrans crews ready to return should there be more slides.
