Ground has been broken for a new U.S. Forest Service Fire Station in Lake Isabella. Today’s ceremony begins the work to replace a station that was in the way of construction of a spillway as the Lake Isabella Dam is being seismically retrofitted. The fire station costs $7.75 million and should be completed by October.
