ANOTHER GREEN LIGHT ON 24TH STREET

An appeals court has refused to stop construction on Bakersfield’s 24th Street widening project. Friday’s ruling means the city can start preparation work ahead of getting bid for demolition of homes along the 24th Street route. Those bids are expected to come in next month.
